At the I Never Read art book fair, running from 12–15 June, 2025 at Kaserne Basel, IXDM.distro is bringing together the latest publications from HyperWerk and Critical Media Lab as well as the BA Process Design and MA Experimental Design programmes.
The publication “Infrastructuring Orientations” (2024) is dedicated to the beginnings and orientations of research-oriented practices in MA Experimental Design. The contributions ask how infrastructures organise our world and how we can intervene in them from a feminist and anti-colonial perspective?
The publication “Material Marion von Osten 1: MoneyNations” (Wirklichkeit Books, 2024) is part of a series that presents transversal practices that imagine, communicate, publish, moderate and transform, and makes them accessible for teaching.
The publication “Dear Earth, – Relationships with and on the Earth” is the result of an intensive examination of the annual theme of the same name, which has characterised the last two semesters of the Bachelor Process Design programme at HyperWerk. Students and staff have explored the complex interdependencies of globalisation, networking, climate change, extraction, our interaction with the environment and the role of humans within it. The annual theme “Dear Earth,” was dedicated to the complex interwoven relationships we have on and with the earth and explores the potential of new forms of connectedness. The publication is a thematic reader that takes the various stages of the research as a starting point and continues the thought process with the people involved. With contributions from Helen Pritchard, Budhaditya Chattopadhyay, Kathryn Yusoff, Vanessa Amoah Opoku, studio erde. and students of the BA Process Design programme as well as various people at HyperWerk.
