IXDM.distro is a publishing platform operating across teaching and research at the Institute Experimental Design and Media Cultures (IXDM) at Basel Academy of Art and Design FHNW. We explore intersectional practices of rehearsing, documenting, publishing, and hacking while fostering public spheres of solidarity. By working transversally across disciplines, cultures and worlds, we connect social, political and environmental perspectives through experimental media and publishing formats.

We are Lucie Kolb, Kit Braybrooke, Anna Laederach, Ann Mbuti and friends. We collaborate at IXDM between a variety of platforms and communities including Critical Media Lab, HyperWerk, MA Transversal Design, BA Prozessgestaltung, and Make/Sense PhD programme.
